Gay Counseling
There are many reasons why people seek therapy. It can be a response to a crisis
or a desire to alleviate a problem of long duration. Negotiating a difficult life
passage. Addressing conflict in a relationship. Gaining distance from and perspective
on compulsive behavior. Developing healthy coping skills for depression or anxiety.
A desire to connect to a more authentic spiritual life. The work takes form as much
from the client's requirements as from the skills, experience and orientation of
the therapist.
As a therapist, I specialize in serving the gay and lesbian community. My office
is in Pasadena and I serve clients from the San Gabriel Valley, the San Fernando
Valley, Silver Lake and northeastern Los Angeles. I have over eight years experience
working with persons impacted by HIV, homophobia and other problems that impact
the gay community, as well as focusing on anxiety, depression and issues related
to midlife, creativity and spirituality. I have worked extensively with individuals,
couples and groups and am available early morning hours and weekday evenings.
